Sobhan Darou Company (Public Joint Stock Company) was designed and built in 1976 under the name of Soiran Cosmetics Company (Private Joint Stock Company) with the participation and technical knowledge of Ciba Geigy (current Novartis).
This factory was started in 1981 and renamed to Sobhan Pharmaceutical Company in 1985. This company was registered under the name of Sobhan Darou Company (joint stock company) after the establishment of new factory and production lines in 2004.
In 2005, the type of company was changed from private joint stock company to public joint stock company and with the symbol of (Sobhan) in 2010; the name of the company was included in the list of companies registered in the Stock Exchange Organization.
This company has been established in Rasht industrial city in Gilan province, on a land with an area of 100 thousand square meters and infrastructure of 10 thousand square meters.
